NUKHUFEST 2026 REFERRAL OPPORTUNITY
Do you lead a filmmaking, creator, arts, student, media, or cultural community?
Do you manage a newsletter, social account, professional network, organization, classroom, group chat, podcast, or online community with people who create, support, or invest in independent film?
Nukhufest is looking for independent referral partners who can help drive participation across the festival’s 2026 initiatives.
This is one opportunity with several ways to contribute and earn.
The priorities
Referral partners can help us:
- Reach filmmakers before the August 8 submission deadline
- Sell screening-block passes for our seven-day Cinema Village program
- Introduce brands interested in theatrical advertising or festival activations
- Encourage educators, organizers, filmmakers, and industry professionals to submit panel proposals
The greatest immediate priorities are film submissions, advertising placements, and block-pass sales.
How you can earn
- Earn $2 for each eligible film-submission referral
- Earn 20% of eligible Nukhufest block-pass and advertising purchases attributed to your referral
- Earn a $2,000 bonus if you generate 1,000 eligible film-submission referrals by August 8
Panel referrals help strengthen the festival program and your relationship with the Nukhufest community, but panel submissions are not separately commissioned.
Why filmmakers should submit
Selected filmmakers may be invited to activate their work as Nukhufest Semi-Finalists on Nukhu, where audiences watch and vote.
Participating filmmakers can receive:
- A pathway toward screening at Cinema Village in New York City
- The ability to earn from eligible purchases of their work on Nukhu
- Audience voting and Request in Theaters activity
- Consideration for the Top 10 Finalist program
- A chance to receive the $3,000 Development-to-Distribution Grant toward their next project
Eligible work includes short films, feature films, documentaries, episodes, web series, music videos, narrative commercials, experimental films, and other story-driven video work.
